The Remedy
The Remedy is a collective of musicians whose passion is sharing the love of Christ and responding to his grace the only way we know how: in true and authentic worship. While we believe that worship takes many forms, it has been clearly evident to us that God has brought us together to worship him through music. We call ourselves “The Remedy,” not to declare ourselves or our music as a cure for something, but rather in reference to the ultimate remedy: Jesus Christ. Our heart is that any music we play or interactions we have with people would only elevate the name of Jesus.
Biography
What began as a Sunday morning worship team has grown into a larger ministry consisting of people who are not only passionate about music, but more importantly are passionate about Jesus. Founded in 2005 by a core of three brothers and a long time friend, The Remedy’s ministry began branching out from Sunday morning worship services to lead at various events throughout the Maryland area. As the ministry and its respective members have grown, it has become apparent that The Remedy has a specific calling for students and bringing up the next generation.
The Remedy
has lead worship for numerous conferences and events and shared the stage with various artists including Fairgreen, Icon for Hire, Willet, and Ashes Remain. In addition to youth events, The Remedy is strongly committed to the local church and leads worship on Sunday mornings at Grace Fellowship Chapel in Westminster, MD.
Over the past eight years, the ministry has grown with the addition of new members, a larger tour radius, and new connections all across the East Coast. In order to continue this growth, The Remedy began planning and writing its first EP in the summer of 2012. The recording process is currently underway and the album is expected to release in Spring 2013. The past few years have brought lots of exciting changes to The Remedy, and the immediate future has much to be excited about, but even as they have evolved as a band, they never lost focus on their one purpose and passion: Worshipping God.
